The program from the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair’s reenactment of the recently concluded Anglo-Boer War in South Africa. It was advertised as “The Greatest and Most Realistic Military Spectacle known in the History of the World.” The exhibit included a British military camp, several “native” villages, and a two-hour battle reenactment featuring several hundred actual veterans from the war.
