As an American, I Face the Worst Possible Hardship: $4 Gas

I’ve always said it — Americans today need to get tougher. We’ve raised entire generations of snowflakes who spent their childhoods getting participation trophies and self-esteem awards. Now they all want their own personal set of pronouns and trigger warnings so they never have to feel sad.

Why can’t today’s Americans be more like the Greatest Generation, who fought Hitler? How did Americans get so soft?

Wait, what’s that? I just saw that the price of unleaded at my local gas station went up from $3.72 to $4.03 per gallon last week!

This is INTOLERABLE! You mean to tell me that I will have to temporarily pay EIGHT PERCENT more for my gasoline, just because of a vicious war that is killing thousands and disrupting the global economy?

How can you expect me to cope? We are literally talking about TENS of dollars a month here. My family will have to eat at Applebee’s one fewer time this month — or eat there just as many times while foregoing appetizers entirely — to make ends meet. Unbelievable!

What’s that you say about my lifestyle choices, you tree-huggers? I have to drive this Ford F-250 Mega-Cab that gets 13 miles per gallon because of my JOB. I am…
